Nancy Avila-Villatoro
Staff Attorney
Nancy is native of Los Angeles and grew up in the neighborhood of Watts. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in social welfare and education from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to attending law school, Nancy worked at various organizations including the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco, Girls Inc., the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Office and the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.
Nancy went on to pursue her passion of obtaining a law degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law. While in law school, Nancy participated in the Immigration Policy Clinic and the Immigration Deportation Defense Clinic where she successfully represented a family in obtaining asylum.
Prior to her work with Community Lawyers, Inc., Nancy worked as a personal injury lawyer representing clients who had experienced major losses and life-altering injuries. Nancy understands that representing clients is a privilege and is proud to utilize her fluency in Spanish to assist clients in navigating the justice system.
