Natalie Mazariegos Howe
Undergraduate Intern
Natalie Mazariegos Howe is a recent graduate from California State University of Long Beach where she obtained a degree in Law, Politics, and Policy with a minor in Public Relations.
As a LA native, Natalie developed a hyperawareness of systemic prejudice that fueled her endeavors as a student activist for multiple local community-serving organizations including the United Nations and Empower Los Angeles.
Recently, she served as a District Fellow for the assemblymember, Sade Elhawary’s, office in District 57. In this role, she furthered her knowledge in producing justice and equity within the South Los Angeles community; an area known to have the lowest voter participation in the country and low graduation rate. One of many facts she researched and aligned with through intentional messaging within her role as the Communications Director for the Black Los Angeles Young Democrats.
Her commitment to bridging the gap in resources and belief in accessibility brought her to CLI’s doors. Natalie is a future lawyer who dreams of helping all within the public sector and is adamant about humanizing every person she has the opportunity to meet.
