Rolando Fuentes was raised in East Los Angeles after immigrating to the United States from Guatemala at a young age. Following his high school graduation, he began working as an immigration paralegal. With the encouragement of his supervisor, he continued at the firm while pursuing his college education and later attending law school.

Over the course of 25 years in the immigration field, Rolando has handled a wide range of matters, including business and employment-based immigration, family petitions, naturalization, SIJS and VAWA, religious petitions, DACA applications, U visas, detention matters, and deportation defense.

Rolando’s combination of academic training, extensive hands-on experience, and personal journey as an immigrant gives him a unique understanding of the challenges his clients face. In 2026, he joined Community Lawyers Inc. with a commitment to expanding access to quality legal representation and serving his community.

Rolando holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge, and a law degree from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law. Rolando is fluent in Spanish.
